On Tuesday, June 2, over X guests gathered at the Hanover Inn to attend the 2026 Pinnacle Society luncheon. Co-hosted by Joanne Conroy, MD, D’ 77, CEO and President of Dartmouth Health, and Steven Leach, MD, Interim Dean at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, the luncheon offered attendees a chance to connect over a delicious lunch and listen to a thought-provoking discussion on cutting-edge research and discoveries that will directly impact patients in the Upper Valley and beyond.

Steven Bernstein, MD, moderated an insightful discussion with Jay C. Buckey Jr., MD, Anne C. Cooper, MD, MA, Margaret Karagas, PhD, and Mary Jo Turk, PhD. The topics discussed included how research collaboration among Geisel, Dartmouth Health, and external partners accelerates impact, how involving students and trainees improves the quality of their research, and how the work underway will change the way doctors treat patients at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. This conversation showcased firsthand how pivotal research is to continue our mission of healthcare excellence in our region and beyond.
